In particular, the process of chromium tanning according to the scientific study initiated from the EU and Chromeless (Conclusion: “It is possible to efficiently avoid the formation of chromium VI in the final leather”) If not worked properly, the use of chromium in the tanning stage carries a potential risk of toxicity due to hexavalent chromium.
Since, unfortunately, by-products and waste are still generated in the leather manufacturing process, the Spanish Leather Industry is charged (obligatory) with the task of managing and controlling this potential risk. In order to comply with current sustainability standards, it is necessary to guarantee 100% the safety of tannery workers, the environment and final consumers of leather goods. There are no reasons to show that consumers face a risk of chromium (VI) toxicity if a series of simple rules are followed.

Types of leather we use, characteristics:
Savage: This type of leather is characterised by its lightness and without extra treatments which make it more delicate, the color changes with the time, emphasizing its natural details. All leather used comes from alimentary cows, meaning their meat is used for human compsuntion; we never use leather from cows that are only used to get the leather and it’s meat is discarded.
The metallic details: All of them from Spain and made in brass gold-plated, all of them are nickel and lead free.
